The Alexandra — a cocoon coat built from a single seam. A reinterpretation of Cristóbal Balenciaga's one-seam construction: darts on the sleeves and lower back remove excess volume to follow the body without constraining it.

A mid-high collar for warmth and proportion. Secret pockets in the lateral side seams. Concealed front fastening. Cotton bias tape finishing.

Available in ocean grey fine melton wool, pitch black heavier melton wool, and electric blue felt. As a made-to-measure piece, the Alexandra can be made in any colour or alternative fabric. Book a consultation.

Named for Alexandra David-Néel — orientalist and the first European woman to enter Lhasa, at the beginning of the 20th century. A coat for women who go where they decide to go.

Wear it over the Audrey blouse and Freddy trousers for a winter line.

A structured yet soft wool felt from Felt Holland, made in the Netherlands. Felt does not crease and barely needs cleaning — wool's natural, self-cleaning character does the work. Air it well between wears; steam if needed.
